Author: for91days

Description: When driving on the TF-5 coming from La Laguna - you will notice the more you drive out west the more banana plantations you will see. As we learned at La Casa de Plátano:

Banana trees / plants need tons of fresh water to grow . It's hard to imagine that so much water is even available considering that many areas on Tenerife look more like a desert. But here on Tenerife's North Coast - everything is green!

Fun fact - did you know the Canary Wharf in London is named after the ships coming from the Canary Islands? Bringing wine, local goods and of course bananas from one island to the other.
