How to Properly Do a Simple Makeup Look for School

Author: mvd

Description: Doing makeup for school should be light and simple and shouldn’t take up a lot of time, which will help you to save time but still have a bit of makeup on.

Tools you will need:

- A Moisturiser
- BB or CC cream
- Concealer
- Face Powder (Optional)
- Blush
- Mascara
- Lip balm/Lipstick/Lip Gloss

Step 1: Properly Wash & Moisturise Your Face

Wash your face properly using a cleanser that’s not too harsh or gentle on your skin then pat your face dry with a towel (don’t rub!).

Then follow it up with a good moisturiser that is suitable and gentle on your skin type.

Step 2: Properly Apply a BB or CC cream to Even the Skin Tone

Use a BB or CC cream that matches your skin tone. This will help you even out your skin tone and will reduce the appearance of blemishes or redness.

Use your fingers for a light and even application; this will work the fastest too.

If you like the appearance of your skin as it is, you could skip this step.

Step 3: Properly Apply Concealer to Spot Conceal

Use a bit of concealer that matches your skin tone under your eyes or spot conceal a few blemishes and blend it in with your finger. This will help you achieve an even skin tone.

The concealer can be used on bare skin or after the application of the BB or CC cream.

Step 4: Add a bit of Face Powder

Depending on your skin type, you might need to use a bit of face powder to set your base; use a big face brush for larger face areas and a smaller brush for smaller areas. This way, your face will stay put during the day and even if you get oily, it would help control the shine.

Step 5: Add a bit of Black Mascara

Add a few coats of black mascara to widen the eyes.

Step 6: Add a Bit of Colour to the Cheeks

Use a fluffy face brush to apply a bit of blush (matte or shimmer) to the apples of your cheeks. Further, blend it towards the hairline and down for a soft finish.

Step 7: Add a Bit of Lip Balm, Lipstick or Lip Gloss to the Lips

Depending on the finish and intensity you want on your lips, you have a choice between a clear or tinted lip balm, lipstick or lip gloss that you can add for the finishing touch.
