Does BB Cream Need to be Set With Powder?

Author: mvd

Description: The short answer is: it depends!

• It depends on your skin type – Dry, Normal, Combination or Oily
• And the season of the year – Cold or Warm

 If you have dry to normal skin during the cold season, you probably don’t need to set the BB Cream with powder as it will already stick to your face.

If you powder it during that time, any dry patches will be emphasised and dry out the skin further.

 If you have dry to normal skin during the hot season, you probably want to set the BB Cream very lightly with powder using a powder brush in case you sweat during the day.

 If you have normal to oily skin during the cold season, you probably want to set the BB Cream very lightly with powder using a powder brush in case you get oily during the day.

 If you have normal to oily skin during the hot season, you definitely want to set the BB Cream with powder and press it into the skin with a brush, sponge or powder puff in case you get oily and sweaty during the day.

 If you have combination skin during the cold season, you want to set the BB Cream lightly with powder using a powder brush in case you get oily in your T-Zone during the day.

 If you have combination skin during the hot season, you definitely want to set the BB Cream with powder in your T-Zone and press it into the skin with a brush, sponge or powder puff in case you get oily and sweaty during the day.

 It’s good to keep pressed powder + a small brush or sponge with you during the day + blotting paper if you tent to get oily.
