How to Make Your Eye Makeup Perfect? Professional Simple Technique for a Natural Look
Step 1: Apply an Eyeshadow Primer for the Perfect Eye Makeup Look
Choosing an eyeshadow primer that feels comfortable on the eyelids, with or without a tint, can help you achieve an even and smooth base and also help the eyeshadow to stay put.
Add a bit of eyeshadow primer on your finger or on an applicator and apply it on your eyelid. Then blend it out all over the eyelid with your finger.
Step 2: Apply a Skin Toned Eyeshadow for the Perfect Eye Makeup Look
If you have used a primer with a bit of a tint to neutralise your eyelid area, you can skip this step.
If you have used a transparent eyeshadow primer, you can add a skin toned eyeshadow on top.
Use a fluffy eyeshadow brush to blend the skin-toned eyeshadow over the entire eyelid area, until you achieve an even canvas.
Step 3: Apply a Medium or Darker Eyeshadow for the Perfect Eye Makeup Look
Depending on your skin tone and color you want to choose, either go with a medium or darker eyeshadow, which could be in any color, but keep it matte.
Start with defining the outer corner. Apply the matte eyeshadow to the outer corner from the lash line to the crease using a denser eyeshadow brush and if you like, you can bring the same shadow just a bit through the crease.
Now, use a blending brush and soften the matte shadow even more for a smoother finish.
Step 4: Apply the main Lid Shadow for the Perfect Eye Makeup Look
This shadow can be in any color and finish (matte, shimmer, metallic). Choose one you like the most and that would steal the show of your eye makeup.
Apply this shadow with a flat eyeshadow brush or your finger, making sure to blend it on the main lid area and a bit through the crease and the outer corner shadow for an even blend.
Step 5 Optional: Apply a Medium or Darker Eyeshadow to the Lower Lash Line
Choose any medium or darker eyeshadow color for the lower lash line to define the eye makeup look and the shape of your eyes.
This could either be the same color you use for the outer corner/crease or a completely different color. You cannot go wrong with choosing a matte shadow as well.
Apply the matte eyeshadow with a smaller flat or rounded eyeshadow brush and connect it to the outer corner and blend it a bit towards the inner part of the eye.
Step 6: Mascara for the Perfect Eye Makeup Look
You can curl your lashes before applying mascara. Then add a few coats of your favourite mascara to open the eyes and finish the look.
