Today I was in Tübingen in Southern Germany

Tübingen’s Old Town. Narrow alleys, 350 monuments, the Neckar River. The city is nearly a thousand years old, once the seat of the Count Palatine, now the oldest university town in the region. What sticks with you: The old walls aren’t lifeless. Behind them lie alternative shops, cultural venues, and small boutiques. Add to that a lot of politically engaged people. That’s what makes the city young, critical, and cosmopolitan. That’s exactly what makes Tübingen what it is.
