Cherkasy: Ukrainian conscription officers stop man for document check – he threatens them with grenades and pistol

TCC statement This morning, during notification measures in the city of Cherkasy on Khimikiv Avenue, servicemen of the Cherkasy TCC stopped an individual to verify registration data. During a brief conversation, the man pulled out a grenade, removed the pin, began threatening to detonate it, and attempted to take the TCC servicemen hostage. Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene. Currently, representatives of the law enforcement agencies are working with the man, while the TCC servicemen are at a safe distance. Special service units are also on site to investigate the circumstances and resolve the situation. Law enforcement will provide an appropriate legal assessment of this citizen’s actions.
