🥋 He Yong Gan Martial Arts – Shaolin Kung Fu Apeldoorn proudly participated in an international Shou Bo (手搏) competition in Leuven, Belgium. Representing our school was Wesley Broekhuis, who stepped onto the mat to test his skills against experienced competitors in this dynamic Chinese combat sport. Shou Bo combines throws, takedowns, balance breaking, grappling, and practical self-defense skills. It is closely related to Shuai Jiao (摔跤), the traditional Chinese art of wrestling. This competition was part of the Golden Dragon Cup and brought together martial artists from different countries to share their passion for Chinese martial arts. At He Yong Gan Martial Arts – Shaolin Kung Fu Apeldoorn, we believe that competition is an important part of personal growth. It helps students develop confidence, discipline, respect, resilience, and fighting spirit.
