Devil May Care is a 1929 American Pre-Code musical film directed by Sidney Franklin. The film follows Armand de Treville, a daring French soldier who escapes execution after Napoleon Bonaparte is exiled. As he seeks refuge, he encounters two women, one of whom is in love with him, while the other is a Royalist who turns him in. The film is known for its romantic adventures and features a Technicolor ballet sequence by the Rasch Dancers. It is based on the 1851 play "La Bataille de dames" and is notable for being Ramon Novarro's first talkie debut.
