Τα Μεγαλύτερα Μυστήρια της Ιστορίας - Η Αναζήτηση του Κράκεν

This documentary explores the legendary Kraken, a fearsome sea monster from Scandinavian folklore, and investigates its possible real-world counterpart, the giant squid. It features historical accounts from figures like King Severa and Archbishop Olus Magnus, and highlights Danish zoologist Japetus Steenstrup’s 1850s theory linking the Kraken to Architeuthis dux. The video examines modern evidence, including the 1875 Newfoundland attack and the 2004 first-ever footage of a live giant squid off Tokyo. It discusses deep-sea gigantism, the creature’s elusive nature, and whether it could truly sink ships or devour humans, while also touching on other potential explanations for Kraken sightings.
